So this week, Brady has finally figured out the crawling bit. He was army crawling for the last 2 weeks, but couldn't really get going. But now it is official, he can crawl. It is fun to watch him crawl. He starts out on his hands and feet, then after a couple of movements, he is to his hands and knees. He is getting into everything, so unlike Thomas. It is amazing that they are so different from each other.
And to add to that, he has started pulling up on things. I was surprised that it happened so closely to crawling. It shouldn't have, but it did. My little monkey is growing up so fast.
Thomas is growing up too. He has finally given up afternoon naps. He no longer needs to sleep to make it through dinner. It has been a bit of a challenge getting Brady's nap in while Thomas rests, but we will get it all figured out eventually.
Thomas is learning his ABC's really well. He can now recognize about 50% of the letters and knows the sounds to a few of them. He picks things up so quickly. I hope to have all of the letters known by Christmas so we can start learning to read.
We haven't done much the last couple of weeks because we are all still recovering from some illness or another. Hopefully we have hit the end and won't have to deal with much until after Thomas's surgery in September.
And to top that off, only 119 days until Christmas! Yikes. I still have halloween to get through. Thomas is trying to pick his costume so I can make it for him. We are narrowing it down slowly, but who knows what it will end up being.

The last few weeks. . .
I have been MIA from my blog for the last few weeks. Life has been very busy. My sister came to visit us and we spent a week touring the area. We went to the zoo where I discovered my new favorite animal. It is called an Okapi (Oh-Copy) and looks like a mix of several animals. I love the ears.

We also visited COSI and got to see an actual Mummy and Sarcophagus. We went to Kirtland and got to see the Temple and visited the Church's Vister's center. Tons of fun. We went to TEd's Montana Grill and even got her to try a byson burger. We enjoyed having Jamie here and hope she enjoyed her trip too.
After her week here, I flew out with her and the 2 boys to Utah.We were there for a week when Nathanial flew out to join us. While we were there, we got to go to the zoo, go to our Niece, Jessica's baby blessing, had a nice bbq with our family, and went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House. We also went with Nathanial's mom to feed some ducks and then went bowling. Thomas had sooooo much fun. He kept telling everyone good job, and cheering them when they knocked over pins yelling "You got a strike out" About 1/2 way through the game, we had to explain to Thomas that when the ball didn't knock over any pins it wasn't a good thing. 3/4 the way through our game Jenny (my brother in law's girlfriend who is really nice) threw a gutter ball. Thomas saw it miss all of the pins, and then looked over at her and I swear he was going to cry. He then said, "Jenny, it's okay. It's okay." So sweet.
Now for updates on the boys, Thomas is going to be getting his tonsils and adenoids removed in the middle of september. They are large enough that they are impeding on his sleep. He doesn't really know yet, as the nurse recommended we wait until a couple of days before so he doesn't have so much time to worry himself about it. Thomas also got his first bike this week. He has tipped over a couple of times, but seems to do okay as long as we are right there with him (he is super nervous about trying new things).
Brady is still right around 20 lbs and now has two teeth. They came in within a couple of weeks of each other. Wednesday night he figure out how to get into the crawling stance, so it won't be much longer till he is off and crawling through the house. Brady also had a first this week, his first ear infection. We caught it fairly early on so we hope it doesn't get too painful for him.
I can't believe summer is almost over. Yesterday Nathanial and I hit the 5 year mark. Five years seems to have gone by so quick, but so much has happened and so much has changed. I can't believe yet another summer has passed us by so quickly. School is getting ready to start(not that it affects us at all) and I just can't believe that Christmas is only 139 days away. Yikes! Time to start decorating :)
