Remembering Grandma

Remembering a day out climbing trees. Grandma didn't like us doing that. It made her worry we would get hurt. But we climbed anyway, and she never got mad.

Remembering a bedtime story: Little half chick, and Little Two Eyes. Listening to her stories never got old.

Remembering her bringing us Rabbits for pets in the back of her hatchback car.

Remembering her making more pies than people for Thanksgiving dinner. She wanted to make sure everyone got what they wanted.

Remembering her coming over to babysit while mom and dad went on a vacation, even though we were old enough to be on our own.

Remembering the week I had a kidney stone, Jamie broke her Collar Bone and Grandma broke her back. What a crazy week for Mom.

Remembering the day she missed her connecting flight home from her mission. We shared an order of fries while we waited. Not knowing which flight she would be on.

Remembering camping out on the kitchen chairs waiting for the news of baby Tyler being born. Blankets and pillows and everything.

Remembering the bus trips to Kmart to get Icees in the summer.

Remembering New Years Eve. The dents in her metal bowls from being beaten with a wooden spoon. The Root Beer on the ceiling from a 2 liter bottle being shaken prior to opening.

Remembering the kinds words, the warm hugs and knowing that she loves me.

Remembering her testimony that She was loved by her Father in Heaven.

Remembering her sleeping with her finger on the remote, channels surfing at its best.

Remembering her brings joys to my heart. I will miss you Grandma. I can't wait to see you again. Though her time on earth is over, her memories will continue on forever.
